HTML `<input type='date'>` not displaying correctly in older versions of Internet Explorer
I need help solving Could someone explain Hey everyone, I'm running into an issue that's driving me crazy... I'm having trouble with the `<input type='date'>` element in my HTML form. Specifically, when I load the page in Internet Explorer 11, the date picker does not appear, and instead, it simply shows a standard text input. I expected the date picker to function as it does in modern browsers like Chrome or Firefox. Hereโs the relevant section of my code: ```html <form> <label for="date">Select a date:</label> <input type="date" id="date" name="date" required> <input type="submit" value="Submit"> </form> ``` I've tried adding a polyfill for `<input type='date'>`, hoping it would provide the expected functionality, but I still just see a regular text field. Here's the polyfill I included: ```html <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/date-polyfill/1.0.1/date-polyfill.min.js"></script> ``` Despite this, the date input still doesnโt work correctly, and I get no JavaScript console errors. Additionally, I've verified that other HTML5 elements like `<input type='email'>` and `<input type='number'>` are functioning as expected. Is there a known scenario with `<input type='date'>` in IE11, or is there something I'm missing in my implementation? Any advice on how to achieve date input functionality in this environment would be greatly appreciated. For context: I'm using Html on Linux. Any ideas what could be causing this? This issue appeared after updating to Html latest. Thanks for your help in advance! This is part of a larger desktop app I'm building. How would you solve this?
