Symfony 5.4: how to to Override Service Configuration in Child Class with Autowiring
I need some guidance on I'm integrating two systems and I've looked through the documentation and I'm still confused about I'm trying to figure out This might be a silly question, but I'm working on a project and hit a roadblock. I'm working with an scenario with service autowiring in Symfony 5.4. I have a base service class `BaseService` that I want to extend in a child class `ChildService`. The `ChildService` should override a method from `BaseService`, but it seems that the service configuration for `ChildService` is not being recognized. Despite using the service definition in `services.yaml`, I keep running into a situation where the `ChildService` is not being correctly autowired, and I see an behavior message: `The service "App\Service\ChildService" has a dependency on a non-existent service "App\Service\BaseService".` Here's how my `services.yaml` looks: ```yaml services: App\Service\BaseService: autowire: true autoconfigure: true App\Service\ChildService: parent: App\Service\BaseService autowire: true autoconfigure: true ``` I've also confirmed that `ChildService` extends `BaseService` like this: ```php namespace App\Service; class BaseService { public function someMethod() { // Base logic } } class ChildService extends BaseService { public function someMethod() { // Child logic overriding base } } ``` I tried clearing the cache using `php bin/console cache:clear`, but the scenario continues. I also looked into whether the service is being registered correctly, and it seems to be picked up by Symfony since it appears in the debug output of `php bin/console debug:container`. How can I ensure that `ChildService` correctly overrides `BaseService` and is properly injected where needed? For context: I'm using Php on macOS. Any ideas what could be causing this? The project is a CLI tool built with Php. Am I missing something obvious? What's the correct way to implement this? For reference, this is a production microservice.
