HTML Validation scenarios: Input Type 'date' optimization guide in Safari 16.5
I'm following best practices but I'm trying to figure out I'm experiencing an scenario where the HTML `<input type='date'>` does not render correctly in Safari 16.5... When I load the page, instead of showing the date picker, it shows a regular text input box. I have also validated that my HTML is correct and conforms to standards. Hereโs the relevant portion of my code: ```html <form id='date-form'> <label for='event-date'>Select Event Date:</label> <input type='date' id='event-date' name='event-date' required /> <button type='submit'>Submit</button> </form> ``` Iโve tested it on Chrome and Firefox, where it works perfectly, but Safari seems to ignore the date input type altogether. I also tried including a `<meta name='viewport' content='width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0'>` tag in the head, but that didnโt help either. Additionally, when I check the console in Safari, I see no specific behavior messages, but the absence of the date picker is quite perplexing. Iโve considered using a JavaScript library like jQuery UI Datepicker as a fallback, but Iโd prefer to keep the implementation simple if possible. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated! I'm working with Html in a Docker container on macOS. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My development environment is Windows 10.
