Excel: implementing Dynamic Chart Updating When Using INDIRECT to Reference Named Ranges in Office 365
I'm experimenting with I'm having trouble with a dynamic chart in Excel that should update automatically when the data changes but doesn't seem to work as expected. I'm using the `INDIRECT` function to reference a named range for my chart's data source. The named range is defined as `DataRange`, which refers to cells `A1:A10`. I've set up my chart's series to reference this named range like this: ```excel =SERIES("My Data", , INDIRECT("DataRange"), 1) ``` When I change the values in the range A1:A10, I expect the chart to update automatically, but it doesn't. Instead, the chart shows the last values instead of reflecting the current data. I've verified that `DataRange` is working correctly by using it directly in a cell: ```excel =SUM(DataRange) ``` This returns the correct sum, so the named range itself should be valid. I've also checked the chart's properties to ensure that it is set to refresh data on change but to no avail. Iβm using Excel for Microsoft 365 (Version 2308 Build 16819.20118) and am on Windows 10. Has anyone else encountered this scenario, or can anyone suggest what I might be missing? I'd really appreciate any insights into why my dynamic chart isnβt updating as expected when using `INDIRECT` with named ranges. Am I missing something obvious?
