Eclipse 2023-09: Contextual Menu Not Showing Custom Run Configurations for Gradle Project
I'm working through a tutorial and I'm working on a Gradle project in Eclipse 2023-09, and I've added a custom run configuration to execute a specific task. However, when I right-click on the project, the contextual menu does not display my custom run configuration under the 'Run As' options. I've checked the 'Run Configurations' dialog and confirmed that my configuration is listed there. I tried refreshing the project and restarting Eclipse, but the scenario continues. Hereβs how my `build.gradle` file looks: ```groovy plugins { id 'java' } group 'com.example' version '1.0-SNAPSHOT' repositories { mavenCentral() } dependencies { implementation 'org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter:2.5.4' testImplementation 'org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-test' } task myTask { doLast { println 'Executing my custom task' } } ``` I've created a custom run configuration using the following steps: 1. Navigate to `Run > Run Configurations...` 2. Select `Gradle Build` on the left and click on `New Launch Configuration`. 3. I set the `Name` to `Run My Task`, and under the `Tasks` field, I entered `myTask`. 4. Clicked `Apply` and then `Run` to test it. The task runs fine from the `Run Configurations...` dialog, but it just doesn't appear in the context menu. I'm not sure if this is a bug in the Eclipse version or if there's something Iβm missing in the setup. Any insights on how to get my custom run configuration to show up in the context menu? I'm open to any suggestions.
