AWS Step Functions scenarios with Task State: Execution State Not Found

aws step-functions lambda serverless json

I'm dealing with I'm experimenting with I'm trying to debug I'm currently implementing an AWS Step Functions workflow that orchestrates multiple AWS Lambda functions for data processing... The workflow consists of a series of task states that are supposed to trigger one after another, but I'm working with an scenario where the execution state want to be found for one of the tasks. The specific behavior I'm receiving is: `"Task failed to start: Execution state not found"`. Here's a snippet of my state machine definition in JSON format: ```json { "Comment": "A simple AWS Step Functions state machine that processes data.", "StartAt": "ProcessData", "States": { "ProcessData": { "Type": "Task", "Resource": "arn:aws:lambda:us-west-2:123456789012:function:ProcessData", "Next": "ValidateData" }, "ValidateData": { "Type": "Task", "Resource": "arn:aws:lambda:us-west-2:123456789012:function:ValidateData", "End": true } } } ``` I have verified that the Lambda functions are deployed and have the correct permissions attached. The IAM role associated with the Step Functions has the necessary permissions to invoke the Lambda functions. Additionally, I checked the CloudWatch logs for the Step Functions execution and found that the `ProcessData` Lambda function executes successfully, but then it fails to transition to the `ValidateData` state. To troubleshoot, I tried to manually invoke the `ProcessData` Lambda function using the AWS CLI, which worked fine, and I also tested the Step Functions using the AWS Management Console. The state machine seems to be defined correctly, and the task's resource ARN appears valid. However, I keep working with the same execution state behavior. Has anyone experienced similar issues with Step Functions, or could there be a specific configuration I might be missing? Any insights on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated! I'm working on a service that needs to handle this. I'd really appreciate any guidance on this. My development environment is Windows 10. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Any feedback is welcome! This is my first time working with Json latest.
