VBA: How to properly manage memory leaks when creating multiple instances of Excel.Application?
I've looked through the documentation and I'm still confused about I'm working with memory issues when running a VBA script that creates multiple instances of Excel.Application... After executing the script, I notice that even after closing the instances, the processes continue to run in the background, consuming memory and preventing Excel from starting properly later. Here's the code I've been using: ```vba Sub CreateMultipleExcelInstances() Dim xlApp As Object Dim i As Integer For i = 1 To 10 Set xlApp = CreateObject("Excel.Application") xlApp.Visible = True ' Perform some operations with xlApp here '... ' At the end of the loop, I try to close and release the object xlApp.Quit Set xlApp = Nothing Next i End Sub ``` Everything seems fine at first glance, but when I check the Task Manager, I see several instances of Excel still running. I've tried adding `DoEvents` after `xlApp.Quit` and setting `xlApp = Nothing` immediately after quitting, but it doesn't seem to help. I suspect this might be a timing scenario, or I might not be releasing all resources properly. Is there a best practice for managing these Excel instances in VBA to avoid memory leaks? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. For context: I'm using Vba on Windows. Thanks in advance!
