I'm working with an scenario with `fgets` when reading a line from a file. I have a buffer size of 1024 bytes, but when the line in the file exceeds this length, it seems to truncate the input as expected, but I'm also getting some unexpected artifacts in the subsequent reads. When I try to read it, `fgets` returns the first 1023 characters and then the next call to `fgets` doesn't seem to read the next line correctly. It appears to read some garbage or mixed data. I initially thought it was due to buffer overflow, but that shouldn't happen with `fgets`. I also tried checking for newline characters and handling them, but that didn't help either. Is there something I'm missing about how `fgets` manages buffers or how to handle lines that are longer than the buffer size? Any insights or suggested workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
