HTML Table Not Maintaining Styles Across Different Browsers - Inconsistencies in Firefox vs. Chrome
I'm getting frustrated with I'm prototyping a solution and I'm working with an scenario with an HTML table where the styling seems to be inconsistently applied between Firefox and Chrome. The table headers are styled using a combination of CSS classes, but in Firefox, the background color of the header cells is not rendered as expected. Here's a simplified version of my HTML and CSS: ```html <table class="styled-table"> <thead> <tr> <th class="header">Name</th> <th class="header">Age</th> <th class="header">Country</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td>John Doe</td> <td>30</td> <td>USA</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Jane Smith</td> <td>25</td> <td>Canada</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> ``` ```css .styled-table { width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; } .header { background-color: #4CAF50; color: white; padding: 10px; text-align: left; border: 1px solid #ddd; } .styled-table td { border: 1px solid #ddd; } ``` I have tested this code in both browsers, and while Chrome displays the header with the correct background color, Firefox shows it as a plain white cell. I've cleared the cache and performed a hard refresh in Firefox to ensure Iām not seeing a cached version. I've also checked for any extensions that might be interfering, but none seem to be the cause. Additionally, I tried using different background colors and other styles, but the question continues specifically for the header cells. Is there a specific CSS rule or reset that I might be missing to ensure consistent rendering across browsers? Any insights would be appreciated! The project is a service built with Html. Could this be a known issue? This issue appeared after updating to Html 3.11. Has anyone else encountered this? I'm working in a Windows 10 environment. I'd really appreciate any guidance on this.
