how to to establish a VPN connection using ASA 5506-X - scenarios 'No valid VPN gateway found'
I'm working on a personal project and I'm working through a tutorial and This might be a silly question, but I'm trying to configure a VPN tunnel on my Cisco ASA 5506-X running version 9.8(4)..... I've set up the basic configuration for remote access VPN but when clients attempt to connect, they receive the behavior message 'No valid VPN gateway found'. I've followed the setup guide from Cisco and ensured that the IP address is correct. Here's the relevant part of my configuration: ```bash object network obj-vpn host 203.0.113.1 ! object network obj-client subnet 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 ! ssl vpn client-config tunnel-group-list = enable authentication-server-group Authentication-Group enable user-accounts allow address-pool enable ! tunnel-group MyVPN type remote-access authentication-server-group Authentication-Group address-pool VPN-Pool default-group-policy My-Group-Policy enable ``` I've verified the interface settings and ensured the ASA's public IP is reachable. The client is using AnyConnect version 4.8.01041, and I'm connecting from a Windows 10 machine. When I check the logs on the ASA, I see repeated messages like "Failed to resolve the hostname for the VPN gateway" leading me to think there might be an scenario with DNS resolution or the configuration of the tunnel group. I've tried reconfiguring the tunnel group and resetting the IP address in the client settings, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone faced a similar scenario or could provide insights on what could be going wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated! For context: I'm using Bash on Ubuntu. This is for a application running on Ubuntu 22.04. The project is a mobile app built with Bash. Any examples would be super helpful.
