How to implement guide with oci load balancer health check scenarios on custom backend set with node.js
Hey everyone, I'm running into an issue that's driving me crazy. I'm relatively new to this, so bear with me. I'm working with a scenario with my OCI Load Balancer setup where the health checks for my custom backend set keep failing. I've configured the backend set with the required ports and protocols, but the load balancer reports the backends as unhealthy. Specifically, I'm using Node.js to run my application, and it listens on port 3000. The health check configuration for the backend set is as follows: ```json { "protocol": "HTTP", "urlPath": "/health", "port": 3000, "intervalInMillis": 30000, "timeoutInMillis": 5000, "healthyThreshold": 2, "unhealthyThreshold": 2 } ``` I've created a simple endpoint at `/health` that returns a status `200 OK`, but it seems like the load balancer is not able to reach it. When I test the endpoint directly, it works fine: ```javascript const express = require('express'); const app = express(); app.get('/health', (req, res) => { res.status(200).send('OK'); }); app.listen(3000, () => { console.log('Server running on port 3000'); }); ``` I've also confirmed that my security list allows incoming traffic on port 3000 and that my instance's public IP is properly set up. However, I keep seeing this behavior message in the OCI console: `Health check failed for backend with IP address <instance-ip> and port 3000`. I've tried adjusting the health check interval and timeout settings, but the results remain the same. Is there something specific I might be missing in the health check configuration or the security settings that would cause this scenario? I'm working on a application that needs to handle this. Is there a simpler solution I'm overlooking?
