visual-studio git branching C#

I'm trying to implement I've been struggling with this for a few days now and could really use some help... I'm trying to configure Visual Studio 2022 to better integrate with our GIT workflow, specifically to manage branches directly from Solution Explorer. However, I keep running into issues where the 'Branches' option doesn't seem to refresh or display correctly. When I right-click on the solution, I only see options for 'Add Solution to Source Control' instead of the branching options. I've checked the settings under 'Options > Source Control > Plug-in Selection' and confirmed that GIT is selected as the current source control provider. I also verified that there are no outstanding changes in my current branch. Here's what I have in my .git/config file: ```ini [core] repositoryformatversion = 0 filemode = false bare = false logallrefupdates = true excuse = [remote "origin"] url = https://github.com/myusername/myrepo.git fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/* [branch "main"] remote = origin merge = refs/heads/main ``` I've also tried closing and reopening Visual Studio, and even restarting my machine, but the scenario continues. I get no errors in the Output window, but the GIT changes pane still shows no branches, and the 'Sync' option remains greyed out. I suspect it might be related to a Visual Studio update that might have affected this feature. Has anyone experienced similar issues or have suggestions for resolving this? What configurations should I check to ensure proper integration with GIT branches? I'd really appreciate any guidance on this. My development environment is Linux. Is there a better approach?
