IntelliJ IDEA not recognizing custom Maven plugin in multi-module project
I'm currently working on a multi-module Maven project in IntelliJ IDEA 2023.1, and I've encountered an scenario where my custom Maven plugin is not being recognized by the IDE. I've defined the plugin in the `pom.xml` of the parent module like this: ```xml <build> <plugins> <plugin> <groupId>com.example</groupId> <artifactId>my-custom-plugin</artifactId> <version>1.0.0</version> </plugin> </plugins> </build> ``` However, when I try to run any goals associated with this plugin from the Maven tool window, I get the following behavior message: ``` Could not resolve dependencies for project com.example:parent:1.0.0: Failed to collect dependencies at com.example:my-custom-plugin:jar:1.0.0: Failed to read artifact descriptor for com.example:my-custom-plugin:jar:1.0.0: Could not transfer artifact com.example:my-custom-plugin:pom:1.0.0 from/to central (https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2): Connection timed out ``` I've checked that the plugin's JAR file is indeed being built and is located in the `target` directory of the module. Additionally, I've confirmed that my `.mvn` settings are pointing to the correct repository. I even tried running `mvn clean install` from the command line, which worked without any issues, but IntelliJ still fails to recognize the plugin. I've also invalidated caches in IntelliJ and restarted the IDE multiple times, but the scenario continues. Is there a specific configuration or setting in IntelliJ that I might be missing? How can I ensure that my custom Maven plugin is recognized during development?
