AWS RDS Read Replica implementation guide After Primary Database Changes on PostgreSQL 12

aws rds postgresql SQL

I'm attempting to set up I've tried everything I can think of but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with I'm stuck on something that should probably be simple... I'm working with an scenario where my AWS RDS Read Replica for PostgreSQL is not reflecting the changes made on the primary database. The primary instance is running PostgreSQL 12. The read replica was created successfully, and they are both in the same region. However, I've noticed that even after making several updates to the primary database, the read replica still shows stale data. Iโ€™ve checked the replication status, and it reports as "replication is up to date". The parameter group settings for both databases are identical, using the default settings provided by AWS. Hereโ€™s how I created the read replica: ```sql aws rds create-db-instance-read-replica \ --db-instance-identifier mydb-replica \ --source-db-instance-identifier mydb \ --db-instance-class db.t3.medium \ --availability-zone us-west-2a ``` I also verified that the replication role has the necessary permissions by executing: ```sql SELECT * FROM pg_roles WHERE rolname='rds_superuser'; ``` The role appears correctly configured. Iโ€™ve tried rebooting both instances, but that didn't help either. I also reviewed the CloudWatch logs, but I didnโ€™t see any errors related to replication. Is there a known delay in replication for RDS read replicas, or could there be another scenario affecting the synchronization? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. This is part of a larger CLI tool I'm building. Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm using Sql 3.10 in this project. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. This is happening in both development and production on Debian. Is this even possible? How would you solve this? Thanks for any help you can provide! Has anyone else encountered this?
