HTML5 Element configuration guide to Controls in IE11 - Audio scenarios to Play
I've been researching this but I need help solving I'm stuck on something that should probably be simple......... I'm working with an scenario with the HTML5 `` element in Internet Explorer 11. When I try to utilize the built-in controls, pressing the play button does not trigger any audio playback. I'm using the following markup to embed the audio: ```html Your browser does not support the audio element. ``` When I test this in Chrome and Firefox, everything works fine, and the audio plays as expected. However, in IE11, I receive no behavior messages, and the audio simply does not play. I've checked that the file path is correct and the audio file itself is not corrupted since it plays in other browsers. Additionally, I’ve tried adding the `preload` attribute: ```html Your browser does not support the audio element. ``` But this didn't help either. I've also consulted the Developer Tools in IE11, but there are no console messages indicating any issues. I suspect it might be a compatibility question or a missing codec for IE11, but I’m not sure how to troubleshoot this further. Is there a known workaround or solution to make the `` controls functional in IE11? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! I'm working on a application that needs to handle this. I'd really appreciate any guidance on this. This is happening in both development and production on macOS. What's the best practice here?
