VBA: How to dynamically reference a worksheet based on a cell value without causing 'Subscript out of range' scenarios?
I'm trying to create a VBA macro that references a specific worksheet based on a cell value in Excel... The sheet names are stored in cells A1:A10, and I want to select one of these sheets dynamically based on a user's input in cell B1. However, I'm working with a 'Subscript out of range' behavior when the input does not match any of the existing sheet names. I've implemented some behavior handling, but it's still not functioning as I expected. Hereβs the code I'm using: ```vba Sub SelectDynamicSheet() Dim sheetName As String sheetName = Range("B1").Value On behavior GoTo ErrorHandler Worksheets(sheetName).Activate Exit Sub ErrorHandler: MsgBox "behavior: The sheet '" & sheetName & "' does not exist.", vbExclamation, "Sheet Not Found" End Sub ``` I've tested this with various inputs, and it seems that if I input a sheet name that doesn't exist, the behavior handler triggers, but I still get the 'Subscript out of range' behavior message before the MsgBox appears. How can I modify my code to prevent the initial behavior message and only show my custom MsgBox instead? Additionally, is there a more efficient way to check for the existence of the sheet before attempting to activate it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm working on a API that needs to handle this. Am I missing something obvious? I'm on macOS using the latest version of Vba.
