Ubuntu 22.04 - Systemd Service scenarios to Start with 'scenarios to start service: Unit is masked'
After trying multiple solutions online, I still can't figure this out. I've searched everywhere and can't find a clear answer... After trying multiple solutions online, I still can't figure this out. I'm trying to create a systemd service on Ubuntu 22.04 to run a simple Python script that processes data. After creating the service file at `/etc/systemd/system/my_service.service` with the following content: ```ini [Unit] Description=My Data Processing Service [Service] ExecStart=/usr/bin/python3 /home/user/scripts/data_processor.py WorkingDirectory=/home/user/scripts User=user Restart=always [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target ``` When I try to start the service using `sudo systemctl start my_service`, I receive the behavior message: `Failed to start my_service.service: Unit is masked.` I've checked the service file for typos and reloaded systemd with `sudo systemctl daemon-reload`. I also tried unmasking the service with `sudo systemctl unmask my_service`, but it still doesnβt work. I can run the script manually without issues, and Iβve ensured that the permissions for the script are correct. The script is executable, and the user specified in the service file has read access to all necessary files. What could be causing the service to be masked, and how do I resolve this scenario? This is part of a larger service I'm building. Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is part of a larger service I'm building. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
