Laravel 10: Trouble with Eloquent's chunk method and memory exhaustion on large datasets

laravel eloquent memory-management PHP

I can't seem to get I'm a bit lost with I've looked through the documentation and I'm still confused about I'm working on a Laravel 10 application where I need to process a large number of records from a table called `orders`..... I've been using Eloquent's `chunk` method to handle these records in manageable batches, but I'm working with a `Allowed memory size of ... bytes exhausted` behavior when I try to process more than 100,000 records. Here's the code I've been using: ```php DB::table('orders')->orderBy('created_at')->chunk(1000, function ($orders) { foreach ($orders as $order) { // Some processing logic ProcessOrder::dispatch($order); } }); ``` Even though I'm using chunking, it seems like the memory usage keeps increasing, leading to exhaustion. I've also tried adjusting the PHP memory limit in the `php.ini` file, but the scenario continues. I've confirmed that the `ProcessOrder` job is queued correctly, and I'm not holding onto references in the loop. What could be going wrong here? Are there any best practices for handling large datasets in Laravel that could help alleviate this scenario? I'm working on a application that needs to handle this. I'm on Linux using the latest version of Php. Thanks in advance! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
