HTML `<input type='date'>` not displaying correctly on iOS - Unresponsive UI with Custom Styles
I've spent hours debugging this and I'm trying to debug I'm relatively new to this, so bear with me. I'm working with an scenario with the `<input type='date'>` element in my HTML form. When I apply custom styles to it, particularly setting a width and padding, the UI becomes unresponsive on iOS devices (specifically iOS 15.3). Users report that tapping the input does not bring up the date picker, which is a critical functionality for my application. I have tried using the following CSS to style the input: ```css input[type='date'] { width: 200px; padding: 10px; border: 1px solid #ccc; border-radius: 4px; background-color: #f9f9f9; } ``` Despite the styling, when I inspect the element, it appears that the default date picker functionality is somehow overridden or not triggered. I have also checked that there are no JavaScript event listeners conflicting with the input's behavior. In addition, I've tested the same input without any styles, and the date picker works perfectly, which leads me to believe the styles are interfering. Is there a known scenario with iOS and styled date inputs, or is there a specific CSS property I should avoid? I've attempted to reset some styles and use browser-specific prefixes, but the question continues. Any advice on how to maintain a styled appearance while keeping the native date picker functional would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone else encountered this scenario? Is there a better approach? I recently upgraded to Html LTS.
