Eclipse 2023-09: guide with Activating Maven Profiles in a Multi-Module Project
I tried several approaches but none seem to work. I'm working with an scenario in Eclipse 2023-09 where I want to seem to activate specific Maven profiles for a multi-module project. I have defined several profiles in my parent `pom.xml` that are supposed to configure different environments (development, testing, production), but Eclipse does not activate them as expected. For example, my parent `pom.xml` looks like this: ```xml <profiles> <profile> <id>dev</id> <properties> <env>development</env> </properties> </profile> <profile> <id>test</id> <properties> <env>testing</env> </properties> </profile> </profiles> ``` I've tried activating the profiles via the Maven build configurations in Eclipse by selecting the 'Goals' field, entering `clean install -Pdev`, and clicking 'Run'. However, the project still builds without the specified properties. I have also checked the active profiles in the `Effective POM` under the Maven view, and it shows none of the profiles are active. I confirmed that the profiles work perfectly when I run the same command from the terminal. Additionally, I have tried refreshing the project and running `Maven > Update Project...`, but this did not resolve the scenario. The Eclipse Maven integration also seems up-to-date. Is there something I might be missing in the IDE configuration or in the way I'm activating the profiles? Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is happening in both development and production on macOS. I'm using Java stable in this project.
