Eclipse 2023-09: Debugging implementing Spring Boot Dev Tools Not Reloading Changes
I've been working on this all day and Can someone help me understand I've looked through the documentation and I'm still confused about I've been banging my head against this for hours... I'm working with an scenario with Spring Boot Dev Tools in Eclipse 2023-09 where changes to my code are not being picked up for hot reloading. I have Dev Tools included in my `pom.xml` as shown below: ```xml <dependency> <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId> <artifactId>spring-boot-devtools</artifactId> <optional>true</optional> </dependency> ``` I've set the Eclipse project to automatically build (Project > Build Automatically), and I have also enabled the option under Preferences > Spring > Boot > DevTools to allow automatic restarts. However, when I change a controller method or any other Java file, it doesnβt trigger a reload in the browser; I still see the old response. I've checked the console for any relevant warnings or errors, but nothing out of the ordinary appears. I tried cleaning the project (Project > Clean) and restarting Eclipse, but the scenario continues. Additionally, I verified that the application is running in the 'Development' profile by checking the `application.properties` file: ```properties spring.profiles.active=dev ``` Has anyone else encountered this question, or does anyone have suggestions on what I might be missing? Thanks! For context: I'm using Java on Linux. What's the best practice here? This is part of a larger service I'm building. How would you solve this? How would you solve this? This is part of a larger service I'm building. I'm open to any suggestions. What's the correct way to implement this?
