MS Access 2021: scenarios 'Too Few Parameters' with Dynamic SQL in Form Record Source
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with I'm having a hard time understanding I tried several approaches but none seem to work... I'm working with the behavior message 'Too few parameters. Expected 1' when trying to set the Record Source of a form dynamically based on user input in MS Access 2021. The form is supposed to display records based on a search parameter entered into a textbox. Hereβs the relevant snippet of my code: ```vba Private Sub btnSearch_Click() Dim strSQL As String Dim searchTerm As String searchTerm = Me.txtSearch.Value strSQL = "SELECT * FROM Employees WHERE LastName = '" & searchTerm & "'" Me.RecordSource = strSQL Me.Requery End Sub ``` I've verified that the `txtSearch` textbox is correctly populated before the query runs. However, if I enter a last name that exists in the database, the behavior still appears. I also tried using `Debug.Print strSQL` to check the final SQL string, which looks correct when I print it out. Iβve rechecked the field names and ensured there are no typos. Additionally, I've tried using the `Nz` function for handling null values in the search term, but it hasn't resolved the scenario. Iβm also aware that this behavior can occur if the SQL statement references a field not present in the table or if the searchTerm is an unrecognized value, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Can anyone provide some insights or solutions to this scenario? What am I missing? I'm working on a service that needs to handle this. For context: I'm using Vba on Ubuntu. For reference, this is a production web app. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
