Maven scenarios to build Spring Boot application with 'Plugin execution not covered by lifecycle configuration' scenarios
I've searched everywhere and can't find a clear answer. Hey everyone, I'm running into an issue that's driving me crazy. I've searched everywhere and can't find a clear answer. I'm trying to build a Spring Boot application with Maven, but I keep working with the behavior message: `Plugin execution not covered by lifecycle configuration`. This happens every time I try to run `mvn clean install`. I have the `spring-boot-maven-plugin` configured in my `pom.xml`, but the build fails with this behavior. Here's the relevant part of my `pom.xml`: ```xml <project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd"> <modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion> <groupId>com.example</groupId> <artifactId>demo</artifactId> <version>0.0.1-SNAPSHOT</version> <packaging>jar</packaging> <properties> <java.version>11</java.version> <spring-boot.version>2.5.4</spring-boot.version> </properties> <dependencies> <dependency> <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId> <artifactId>spring-boot-starter</artifactId> </dependency> </dependencies> <build> <plugins> <plugin> <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId> <artifactId>spring-boot-maven-plugin</artifactId> <version>${spring-boot.version}</version> <executions> <execution> <goals> <goal>repackage</goal> </goals> </execution> </executions> </plugin> </plugins> </build> </project> ``` I've tried adding `<configuration>` tags under the `spring-boot-maven-plugin`, but that doesn't seem to fix the scenario. I also verified that my IDE (IntelliJ) is up to date, and I’ve invalidated caches and restarted it. I found some suggestions online about configuring the IDE to recognize the plugin executions, but they didn't work either. Has anyone else experienced this scenario and found a solution? What am I missing here? This is happening in both development and production on Ubuntu 22.04. Thanks, I really appreciate it! I'm coming from a different tech stack and learning Java. Is there a simpler solution I'm overlooking?
