GitHub Actions scenarios with 'invalid request' scenarios when trying to trigger a workflow on tag push
I need some guidance on I'm deploying to production and I'm converting an old project and I've looked through the documentation and I'm still confused about I'm working with an scenario with my GitHub Actions setup where my workflow isn't triggering on tag pushes as expected..... My workflow file looks like this: ```yaml name: CI on: push: tags: - 'v*.*.*' jobs: build: runs-on: ubuntu-latest steps: - name: Check out code uses: actions/checkout@v2 - name: Run build run: echo 'Building...' ``` I've created a tag using `git tag v1.0.0` and pushed it with `git push origin v1.0.0`. However, I see the following behavior in the Actions tab: `Workflow failed with 'invalid request' in GitHub Actions.` I have checked if the tag exists in the repository, and it does. I also confirmed that the workflow file is in the `.github/workflows/` directory. It should trigger upon tag push, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've also looked at the repository settings under Actions, and everything appears to be enabled. I've tried pushing another tag after making minor edits to the workflow file, but the scenario continues. Is there a specific condition or syntax I might be missing that prevents the workflow from triggering on tag pushes? Any help would be appreciated! I'm working on a CLI tool that needs to handle this. I'd really appreciate any guidance on this. Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm coming from a different tech stack and learning Yaml. I'm using Yaml LTS in this project. Has anyone else encountered this? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
