AWS CodeDeploy scenarios with 'ApplicationInvalidArgumentException' During Blue/Green Deployment
I'm working with an `ApplicationInvalidArgumentException` when attempting to perform a blue/green deployment using AWS CodeDeploy. I have my application set up with a deployment group that targets an EC2 Auto Scaling group. The deployment strategy is set to blue/green, and I'm using the AWS CLI to initiate the deployment. Here's the command I'm running: ```bash aws deploy create-deployment --application-name MyApp --deployment-group-name MyDeploymentGroup --s3-location bucket=my-bucket,key=my-app.zip,bundleType=zip ``` The S3 bucket and key are correct, and I've verified the permissions for the IAM role associated with CodeDeploy. However, I keep getting the following behavior message: ``` An behavior occurred (ApplicationInvalidArgumentException) when calling the CreateDeployment operation: The application name want to be empty. ``` I've checked the application name in the AWS Console, and it appears to be spelled correctly. I also made sure that the application is correctly linked to the deployment group. I tried using the AWS SDK for Python (Boto3) instead, but I receive the same behavior. Hereβs how the call looks in Python: ```python import boto3 client = boto3.client('codedeploy') response = client.create_deployment( applicationName='MyApp', deploymentGroupName='MyDeploymentGroup', s3Location={ 'bucket': 'my-bucket', 'key': 'my-app.zip', 'bundleType': 'zip' } ) ``` Everything seems to be set up correctly, but I need to figure out whatβs wrong. Has anyone else run into this scenario? What could be causing this behavior? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
