How to handle FileNotFoundException when using FileStream in .NET Core 3.1?
I've hit a wall trying to I've looked through the documentation and I'm still confused about I'm relatively new to this, so bear with me. I'm currently working on a file processing application using .NET Core 3.1 and I'm working with a `FileNotFoundException` when trying to read a file using `FileStream`. The code that I have written looks like this: ```csharp using System; using System.IO; class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { string filePath = "C:\MyFiles\data.txt"; try { using (FileStream fs = new FileStream(filePath, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read)) { using (StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(fs)) { string content = reader.ReadToEnd(); Console.WriteLine(content); } } } catch (FileNotFoundException ex) { Console.WriteLine($"File not found: {ex.Message}"); } catch (Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine($"An behavior occurred: {ex.Message}"); } } } ``` The behavior I receive is: ``` Unhandled exception. System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\MyFiles\data.txt'. ``` I've double-checked the file path and confirmed that the file does exist in that location. I've also tried running the application with administrative privileges to rule out permissions issues, but that didn't help either. Additionally, I've ensured that the path string is formatted correctly, especially since I'm using backslashes for the file path. What else could be causing this scenario? Is there a better way to manage file paths (especially to avoid hardcoding them) in .NET Core? Any insights on best practices for file handling would be greatly appreciated, especially if there's a design pattern I should be aware of. Thank you! This is part of a larger application I'm building. I'd really appreciate any guidance on this. Has anyone else encountered this? I appreciate any insights!
