HTML `` Element Not Playing on iOS Safari - Seeking Cross-Platform Solutions
I'm performance testing and I'm collaborating on a project where I'm experiencing an scenario with the `` element in my HTML5 application where the audio files do not play on iOS Safari. I'm using the following code: ```html Your browser does not support the audio element. ``` The audio files are stored in the correct format and play perfectly fine on Chrome and Firefox. However, when I attempt to play the audio on an iPhone running iOS 15.6, nothing happens. I also noticed that the audio controls appear, but tapping the play button does not respond or produce any sound. There are no behavior messages in the console, which makes debugging tricky. I’ve ensured that the audio files are accessible and not blocked by any CORS policy as they are hosted on the same domain. I also attempted to preload the audio using the `preload="auto"` attribute, but it didn’t resolve the scenario. Additionally, I checked the volume settings on the device to confirm they are not muted. Has anyone else encountered similar problems with the `` element on iOS Safari? What are some potential workarounds or solutions to ensure audio playback works across all platforms? My development environment is Ubuntu. What's the best practice here? This issue appeared after updating to Html 3.9. Is there a simpler solution I'm overlooking? Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm developing on Linux with Html.
