Regex Not Matching URLs with Query Parameters in PHP - implementing Edge Cases
I'm working on a personal project and I've encountered a strange issue with I'm relatively new to this, so bear with me. I'm trying to validate a set of URLs in PHP using regex, but I'm having trouble capturing those with query parameters. My current regex pattern looks like this: ```php $pattern = '/^https?:\/\/(www\.)?example\.com\/[^\s]*$/'; ``` This works for most of the URLs, but when I include URLs that have query parameters, such as `https://www.example.com/path?query=1`, they don't match. I'm not sure how to modify my regex to include the `?` character along with the query string. I've tried adding `\?[^\s]*` to the end of my pattern, but it seems to break the entire expression with unexpected behavior. When I run the following code: ```php $urls = [ 'https://www.example.com', 'https://www.example.com/path', 'https://www.example.com/path?query=1', 'https://example.com/path?foo=bar&baz=qux', 'http://example.com/invalid-url#fragment' ]; foreach ($urls as $url) { if (preg_match($pattern, $url)) { echo "$url is valid\n"; } else { echo "$url is NOT valid\n"; } } ``` I get valid results for the first three URLs, but the ones with query parameters are failing as expected. I'm using PHP 8.0, and I'm looking for a regex solution that can handle any valid URL structure on my domain, including those with query strings. Any suggestions on how to adjust my pattern to make it work correctly would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help! This is my first time working with Php 3.11. Thanks for any help you can provide!
